Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff, comfortable room and facilities. The owner, who greeted us, was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Despite a small language barrier, he tried his best to communicate and help with any questions we had. The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the spaciousness. The location was perfect, close to the ferry terminal and the center of town. Despite a few minor inconveniences, like a lack of plates and cups in the kitchen, our overall stay was enjoyable. We would recommend Residencia Machado to others visiting Horta. it was a pleasant experience.

The hotel's location is ideal, with a shopping market and a bakery nearby. The rooms are well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. We enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff.

Sadly, there was no 24-hour reception, and Wi-Fi was occasionally spotty. we felt the price could be lower.
